As part of our Global Controlling organization, you’ll play a key role in driving our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives. Reporting to the Director of Enterprise Systems, you will design, implement, and optimize ESG systems, ensuring accurate data collection, reporting, and compliance. This role combines technical expertise with a passion for sustainability—offering you the chance to shape impactful, data-driven solutions that support our long-term ESG goals and responsible business practices.
Your main tasks
- Lead the design, deployment, configuration, and integration of ESG software and platforms
- Define ESG data requirements and system workflows in collaboration with internal stakeholders
- Ensure ESG software aligns with regulatory frameworks (GRI, SASB, TCFD, CSRD, EU Taxonomy, etc.)
- Translate business needs into technical requirements and integrate ESG data sources across TE with IT and sustainability teams
- Perform regular system updates, security patches, and software enhancements with TEIS and software vendors
- Troubleshoot technical issues, optimize system performance, and maintain data integrity, security, and compliance
- Develop and implement automated processes for ESG metric collection, validation, and storage
- Support ESG reporting, dashboards, and insights for internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory submissions
- Stay informed on ESG regulations, support audits, and adjust systems to maintain compliance
- Identify opportunities for process automation, efficiency improvements, and adoption of emerging ESG technologies and AI-driven sustainability solutions
Your ideal background
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer/Data Science, Sustainability, Business, or related field
- 3+ years’ experience in ESG systems implementation, IT, data analytics, or sustainability reporting
- Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, Java, SQL/NoSQL, and knowledge of APIs, ETL tools, and data integration
- Experience with ERP (SAP), ESG platforms (Workiva, Sphera, Watershed, Microsoft Sustainability Manager)
- Familiarity with cloud solutions (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud)
- Strong knowledge of ESG frameworks and regulations (GRI, SASB, TCFD, CSRD, EU Taxonomy, SEC)
- Skilled in Power BI, Tableau, or Alteryx for ESG reporting and visualization
- Ability to troubleshoot ESG system issues and optimize workflows
- Strong project management, communication, and change management skills with the ability to collaborate across IT and sustainability teams
- Experience in driving ESG digital transformation across organization
