Job overview
The Finance Analytics & Transformation Manager leads the IND BU Analytical Center of Excellence (ACOE) and Finance Continuous Improvement agenda, with a focus on analytics, automation and digital enablement. The role manages a team of four, supports the broader TEOA-F agenda through data and technology solutions, and enables faster, better business decisions by turning finance and operational data into trusted insights. It partners across Central and SV teams and represents IND BU Finance in enterprise data, technology and transformation initiatives, including the transition from SAP PR2 to S/4HANA.
Your main tasks
• Lead, coach and develop the ACOE team; establish priorities, a practical roadmap and ways of working aligned with BU Finance and business needs.
• Partner with Central and SV teams to understand business questions, user personas and decision workflows, translating them into relevant analytics products, intuitive dashboards and actionable decision support.
• Own the Finance reporting and analytics transformation agenda by inventorying the current landscape, assessing usage, duplication, business value and decision relevance, and rationalizing or retiring recurring, manual and low-value outputs rather than migrating them into new tools.
• Lead the simplification and rationalization of Finance reporting, replacing fragmented manual Excel work with a focused portfolio of trusted, refreshable and scalable solutions such as Power BI dashboards and enterprise data products.
• Advance Finance from retrospective reporting toward forward-looking insight, driver analysis, forecasting, scenario modelling and recommended actions that improve business decisions.
• Design user-centered dashboards around key decisions and workflows, applying intuitive navigation, consistent definitions, accessible visualization and user testing to deliver a simple and effective experience.
• Establish governed self-service analytics through certified datasets, semantic models, standard measures, trusted definitions and clear ownership; balance local flexibility with enterprise standards and prevent uncontrolled report proliferation.
• Coordinate BU Finance requirements, future-state process and reporting design, data readiness, testing, deployment and adoption for SAP S/4HANA and other material technology changes, representing the BU with segment, corporate, IT and data partners.
• Drive stakeholder engagement, communication, training and change management across organizational levels; establish user-readiness plans and communities of practice that build Finance capability and embed new ways of working.
• Establish transformation governance and benefits tracking, measuring reports retired, manual effort eliminated, refresh-cycle improvement, data quality, adoption, repeat usage, user satisfaction and business impact.
• Advance practical AI, automation and emerging-technology opportunities, benchmark external developments and scale solutions that create measurable business value.
What your background should look like
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Analytics, Information Systems or a related field; an advanced degree or professional Finance qualification is an advantage.
• Typically 8+ years of experience across FP&A, controlling, Finance analytics, Finance transformation or related roles in a complex multinational environment; manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Demonstrated people leadership and experience leading cross-functional projects or transformation initiatives in a global matrix.
• Strong Finance and business acumen, with the ability to identify key drivers, challenge constructively and turn data into decisions and actions.
• Practical experience with Power BI or a comparable BI platform, advanced Excel and SAP/ERP environments; exposure to S/4HANA is highly valued.
• Familiarity with complementary analytics or automation tools such as SQL, Python, Alteryx, Power Automate or VBA is an advantage; expertise in every tool is not expected.
• Practical experience applying generative AI, AI copilots and agentic AI to Finance or business processes, with the ability to identify high-value use cases, rapidly prototype and evaluate solutions, and support responsible deployment from pilot through adoption. Demonstrates an open, experimental and continuous-learning mindset while applying sound judgment on data quality, security, controls, human oversight and measurable business value.
• Proven ability to rationalize reporting portfolios, design user-friendly dashboards, establish governed self-service analytics and translate user needs into scalable data products and measurable business outcomes.
• Pragmatic, curious and outcome-focused player-coach with strong stakeholder management, change leadership and communication skills; fluent English.
