Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Supply Chain Managers are responsible for the timely, cost-effective procurement, inventory control, planning and quality control of production materials. They ensure the availability of materials in the supply chain, as scheduled, and the maintenance of inventory at the established levels. They coordinate and integrate the flow of materials and information among suppliers, manufacturers, distributors and customers, identifying opportunities for improving efficiency, effectiveness and capabilities of the supply chain. Resources are focused on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through production processes, and the establishment of key performance metrics and benchmarks to monitor actual performance against goals.

Key responsibilities

•    Coordinate with plant operations to analyze and recommend long range capacity solutions to proactively satisfy potential supply constraints before they impact the plant and customers.
•    Assist local Master Schedulers in using advanced planning systems to optimize customer delivery and inventory performance.
•    Collaborate with global customers & global counterparts to analyze & improve the end-to-end (E2E) supply chain process
•    Identify and lead strategic supply chain projects related to supply chain optimization and footprint moves.
•    Facilitate the monthly plant supply reviews for respective plants and support the monthly S&OP supply review.
•    Monitor & report on supply chain KPI’s and drive actions to close any gaps
•    Lead Materials Coordinator when regional shortages arise on global programs
•    Orchestrate a recovery plans that maximize output considering total demand and supply capabilities among all regions.
•    Team with the Global GPL Manager to understand the program’s global footprint and capabilities.

What your background should look like:

•    Bachelor’s Degree
•    Japanese language high fluency in written and spoken, English business level (TOEIC 600 and above)
•    More than 3 years of experience in Supply Chain within production planning/management/procurement at manufacturers of electronic parts, electrical equipment, automotive, machinery, etc.
•    SAP Production Planning and Rapid Response Master Scheduling experience highly desired
•    Excel skills is required to support reporting and analytics requirements
•    Japanese normal vehicle driver's license

Work conditions


* Salary will depend on experience, abilities and skills
Non-managerial staff: Annual income of 5 million yen or more 

Working hours
Standard working hours: 8:30 to 17:00 (lunch break: 45 minutes)
Flex work available (core time: 11: 30-13: 30
