INTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER

Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Marketing Communications teams design, execute and report on internal and external communications and PR activities, engaging with customers, outside agencies and industry organizations. They define the messages and oversee the implementation of initiatives that engage key audiences using a variety of approaches, including internal communications, media, public relations and social media, developing ideas and stories to execute internal and external communications.  They leverage a trend or storyline emerging from multiple inputs, e.g., team meetings, reports, social and traditional media, politics and current events, to elevate TE’s brand in the market and partner with marketing colleagues to ensure campaigns, lead generation and market-facing communications complement one another to drive marketing results and manages the relationship with TE’s public relations agency of record and assigned budget. The Communications team collaborates closely with various stakeholders from executive leadership team and Human Resources to a variety of product, sales and internal marketing partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implements and maintains a locally relevant internal communications structure with efficient and effective tools, processes and systems.
  • Lead the Executive Communications, organize country townhall meetings and prepare messages and presentations for country GM
  • Work with HR to drive inclusion improvement 
  • Team up and engage with internal stakeholders from HR, Finance, Marketing, Research and Development and Operations to generate relevant storytelling and campaigns that support the deployment of the business strategy and drive engagement
  • Liaises with the Internal Engagement functions at Business Unit level to align channel strategy, share best practices and identify synergies (such as shared platforms)
  • Monitoring and measurement of the results/outcomes of all internal communications activities in the market
  • Follows and implements trends and best practices in internal communications, engagement and change communications
  • Be familiar and feel comfortable with all the applicable corporate as well as site policies and procedures with regards to personal conduction and always work in line with all applicable regulations

What your background should look like:

  • University degree, exceptional writing and presentation skills in both Japanese and English languages
  • Experience working in an international matrix organization and comfortable with building relationships with key internal stakeholders across the company
  • 5-10 years of experience in internal communications and/or change communications with a strong business acumen    
  • Experience with complex communication issues and project management 
  • Understanding of new internal communications techniques, internal social engagement platforms and the ability to translate these into locally relevant engagement opportunities
  • Proven ability to manage and implement both national and global internal engagement and change communications programs, with a proven track record of digital campaigns and execution
  • Team player with an open and energetic attitude, easy to shift between tasks and responsibilities who can work independently as well. Not a 9 till 5 attitude and comfortable with working under pressure.
