Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Shipping & Receiving Teams perform a combination of manual and clerical shipping and receiving duties. They use computer systems for tracking, logging, verifying and reporting incoming and outgoing shipments. They follow shipping practices and procedures, transportation routing, schedules and requirements. The Shipping & Receiving Teams receive incoming materials and prepare materials for shipment. They process freight bills, packing sheets, and other documents. They also route merchandise to destinations.

 

As a SUPV I SHIPPING & RECEIVING, you are responsible for;

  • Maintain and provide current understanding of industry best practices. 
  • Ability to contribute in a cross functional collaborative environment.
  • Leads by example and motivates people to create a challenging, empowering, and collaborative working environment.
  • Monitor and Analyze Warehouse KPI’s, such as Cycle Count Attainment, Inventory Accuracy, Total Daily Transactions. 
  • Follow and monitor Environment, Health and Security metrics and procedures. 
  • 5S+1 Assessment. 
  • More activities can be assigned by supervisor or manager as they are required to comply with the job role. 

What your background should look like:

  • Preferred not Required Bachelor degree in Supply Chain Mgt, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Management or related field or 3 years experience in warehouse/manufacturing supervision. 
  • Preferred not Required- APICS certification in production and inventory management is highly desirable.
  • Solid working knowledge ERP software systems.
  • Working knowledge of lean manufacturing, six sigma and JIT methodology
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Able to perform under pressure.
  • High sense of urgency and ability to provide service to internal customers
  • Must be proficient in the English language
  • Experienced in Microsoft Software. Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
