Materials Planning Analyst III

Job Overview


TE Connectivity's Logistics Demand Management Teams develop, integrate and provide short-term accounts or brand specific forecasts for internal operations which include replenishment data, customer data, sales promotion information, marketing plans and new distribution/product deletions. They are responsible for facilitating, managing and executing strategic directions related to plant performance, customer demand agreements, supply chain improvements, revenue forecasting and overall improvement in delivery metrics globally. They assist in the improvement of demand system forecasting accuracy for customers. The Demand Management Teams maintain and manage product history, forecasts and promotional demand. They analyze internal demand stream information, and categorizes according to demand patterns. They also may input sales/marketing intelligence for use in forecast systems, working with sales organization(s), national sales accounts, marketing, and related forecasting and planning groups.


  • Strong understanding of Material Resource Planning systems.
  • Schedule production loads considering available materials and capacity.
  • Coordinates and communicates production requirements within the respective Value Stream.
  • Help achieve performance targets including: delivery, inventory & productivity.
  • Work closely with the Sales (S&OP output file) to ensure on-going sensitivity to changes in customer demand.
  • Resolve tradeoffs and work with management to reach resolutions that are consistent with customer service and the business office.
  • Update MRP dates and schedules to adjust production plan to any unforeseen conditions.
  • Works closely with cross-functional leads to identify, plan and resolve inconsistencies and gaps between demand and supply.
  • Works with buyers to assure raw materials and purchased parts meet production and delivery requirements for long lead &/or build ahead needed for forecast.
  • Monitors lead times and makes recommendations for lead time changes where forecast shows the need for.
  • Reviews and understands Capacity Planning tools.
  • Initiate and participate in continuous improvement activities related to production planning, customer service and inventory management.
  • Manage and maintain inventory levels ensuring uninterrupted supply of parts while maintaining optimal inventory levels, along with ensuring customer reliability and meeting target inventory turns.

What your background should look like:


  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of Supply Chain 
  • Global Shop Solutions ERP Experience (desired)
  • Advanced in Microsoft Excel
  • Rigorous, responsive, good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
