Job Overview
We are building a world-class Global Trade Services (GTS) organization, and the Aerospace, Defense and Marine (AD&M) Import/Export Analyst plays a critical role in serving and supporting trade operations and compliance within the Business Unit (BU). This role supports the MOG SeaCon business unit, where attention to detail, responsiveness, and collaboration with cross-functional teams are critical.
The Import/Export Analyst ensures compliance with U.S. and global trade regulations, supporting the movement of goods and data primarily from the U.S. and Mexico. This role manages pre- and post-licensing activities, files applications, and obtains necessary authorizations. Reporting to the AD&M BU Americas Lead, the Import/Export Analyst serves as a key GTS team member and trusted advisor for internal stakeholders.
Job Requirements
The role involves serving as the primary contact for export/import inquiries, overseeing authorizations and classifications, educating stakeholders on compliance, maintaining audit-ready records, adapting to changing priorities, tracking BU-Level KPIs, and supporting trade operations by TE policies and regulations.
Partner with Trade Compliance Professionals and Stakeholders across the enterprise, while collaborating with GTS Governance to monitor regulatory changes, assess BU impact, develop compliance audits and training, and oversee corrective actions. Ensure proper utilization of the GTS Operations Service Center for product classification, restricted party screening, and duty savings compliance, while maintaining appropriate country of origin determination, valuation, and admissibility. Work with Operational Service Centers to identify and manage trade facilitation opportunities in a cost-effective and compliant manner. Establish and maintain relationships with internal functions to promote trade compliance awareness, proactively identify risks, and develop appropriate controls for MOG SeaCon.
What your background should look like:
The successful candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in international business, supply chain, law, or a related field, with 5+ years of experience in global trade compliance. The ideal applicant will demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of import/export regulations (ITAR, EAR, ATF, OFAC, US CBP), strong problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills. Experience managing USG Authorizations (DSP-5, BIS licenses, TAAs, MLAs) is required. The successful candidate will be adept at educating stakeholders on trade compliance, maintaining audit-ready documentation, and working effectively with interdisciplinary teams. This role requires a customer-focused approach, adaptability to changing priorities, and willingness to travel occasionally (<10%). Preferred qualifications include 3+ years of experience supporting trade functions within defense, aerospace, or dual-use industries.
Competencies
COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $87,500 - $130,500 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
