Job Overview
The Senior Manager Procurement will have the primary responsibility in region of AUT EMEA for providing:
- Supplier Portfolio development as key element to enable TE Connectivity´s Strategic development
- Supplier Management to enable Supplier Partnering especially in tight and volatile demand situations
- Cost Management for YoY Productivity to support TE Connectivity Margin commitment
- Multi year commodity strategy in line with company strategy
- Team development for constantly increasing efficiency and capability of cross European Team
- Cross functional and cross regional coordination to exceed established goals
The regional Senior Manager Procurement for the commodities Molding and Assembly will help to ensure the procurement function across our production sites located in different EMEA countries.
The role will report to the Director Procurement Commodities AUT EMEA of TE Connectivity and be based on one of TE Connectivity’s country offices.
Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for result fulfillment and team development for these two major production material commodities of Molding and Assembly. This will include the following elements:
- Develop training for procurement team e.g. on procurement methodologies and the importance of procurement compliance
- Be responsible for and develop the team to write and execute framing price agreements for contracted vendors
With your guidance, coaching and support you will help the team to synchronize strategies for key topics in line with Operations Department Strategies. Such as:
- Developing and implementing the Supplier Portfolio Strategy based on Supplier – Performance, - Capability, - Risk mitigation and Capacity
- External Capacity Assessment and Building
- Being the trusted (intern and extern) owner in holding the Supplier Relationship
You will develop and facilitate the implementation of procurement target in the assigned commodities in accordance with Regional Procurement and Operations goals.
- Accountable for the Productivity goal setting and achievement
- Together with Finance and Cost functions ensure full cost transparency on purchased components
You will implement and continuously execute performance controlling to make results transparent and control purchasing activities of assigned commodities on a result orientated basis.
- In cooperation with Internal stakeholders enable the team to identify and drive the development and implementation of supplier-based improvement measures on cost, availability and technology development
- Maintain high awareness in the team for fiscal responsibility and negotiations
You will actively support and coordinate programs in the Region, initiate improvement activities to achieve continuous development.

What your background should look like:
- Bachelor or Master’s degree.
- 5+ Years of stable track record of procurement results
- Min. 5 years professional experience in a procurement role
- Solid experience in remote leadership across different locations
- Automotive experience is an advantage
- Strong collaboration skills with internal stakeholders on different levels, being able to convince with vision and leadership
- Knowledge of Category Management Process and its practical applications
- Knowledge of Contract Negotiation and Management
- Must be able to work independently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Exceptional interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills
- Attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving approach are required; hands on mentality
- High level of intellectual curiosity, self-motivated to solve difficult issues, continually seeking ways to improve
- Excellent command of English (spoken and written), additional language skills are an asset
