TE Connectivity's Supplier Development Teams find and develop suppliers to support the strategic sourcing organization in driving incremental performance in supplier quality, delivery, price and service. They teach new suppliers on how to work with TE (portal access, e-procurement tool usage, TE procedures, etc.). They extend TE Operational Advantage into the supply base to generate continuous improvement in the extended value stream, deliver incremental improvements through supplier development lead projects and achieve improvement targets specific for supplier development. They also help drive selection and development of the best total cost supply option in the region where the commodity or service is consumed. They keep abreast of emerging market options and inform the broader procurement organization of trends and new supply options.
You will be able to:
- Communicates quality concerns to suppliers and support complaint handling process with the external suppliers following 8D methodology
- Supports quality escalations and drives corrective actions with the suppliers
- Supports VDA 6.3 potential analysis / process audits at TE suppliers
- Supports performing process and system audits of suppliers and maintains a working knowledge of
- ISO9001, and IATF quality systems requirements to support the suppliers
- Provides technical assistance to the supplier
- Discusses and negotiates quality and performance contracts with suppliers
- Supports ASQ team in evaluation and release of PPAPs from suppliers
- Supports transfers of new and existing projects to supplier and process release after the transfer incl. safe launch plan evaluation
Ideal profile for this position:
- University education in technical field
- At least 3 years of experience in customer quality or supplier quality field
- Working knowledge of complaint handling (8D method), including Ishikawa / 5Why
- Working knowledge of PPAP, FMEA, MSA, capability analysis and all other APQP tools
- Certified VDA 6.3 auditor would be a plus
- Fluent in Czech and English
- Active driver - driving license is required
- Willingness to travel locally and abroad (30%-50% of working time)
