Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Project Management Teams are responsible for managing the operational aspects of projects from inception through implementation. They coordinate cross-functional teams and serve as liaison between project management and planning, project teams and line management. Our Teams review status of projects and budgets, manage schedules and prepare status reports. They assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. They also develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.

Responsibilities & Tasks

  • Core team leader (CTL) of one or more major projects of typically medium to high complexity and risk
  • Overall responsibility for the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of assigned project.
  • Responsibility for compliance with QMP_EMEA_088 (Project execution procedure) and TE LEANPD process
  • Ability to manage projects and core teams without supervision 
  • Ownership of project along the stage gate process (concept, design, validation, industrialization)
  • Present project progress and needs to senior management 
  • Set up and track project timing and milestones according to customer program timing

Qualification and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Associates degree in Engineering, Science or Business (or actively pursuing one)
  • Typically has 3 years of experience managing project of medium complexity in a regional setting
  • Formal project management education and/or PMP certification (or pursuing to get one) advantage
  • Some experience with LEAN PD, Waterfall, Agile methodologies
  • Good knowledge of Industry standards
  • Some change management experience
  • Problem solving
  • Leadership - Negotiation, Conflict management 
  • Risk management
