Finance Supervisor

The Finance supervisor role is responsible for leading and managing of the accounting and tax operations for US GAAP and Czech statutory accounting. Managing small team of accountants, coordinating month end, yearend activities and day to day transactions. Supporting and working with other departments and FSSC. A successful person in this role will be able to demonstrate solid financial and managerial experience and talent development focus.
YOUR MAIN TASKS:
- Manage and execute day to day accounting and tax activities of the legal entity (TE CZ)
- Journal entry posting, monthly and quarterly reconciliation, bank payments authorization, statistical reports
- Support for all financial audit related activities, including local statutory audits, US GAAP audit support, tax audits, and Internal Audits
- Support compliance with new regulatory requirements (CBAM, ESGA etc)
- Understand ERP (SAP) and Business IT-Systems to be able to execute and improve LE financial processes, support new system changes, implementations
- Improve performance, simplify processes and leverage synergies; at the same time, ensure effective governance controls are in place to ensure compliance with US GAAP, local regulations, and company policies
- Develop and coach finance team in the managed legal entity
YOUR IDEAL BACKGROUND:
- 5+ years experience in a similar role
- Comprehensive understanding through demonstrated experiences with local statutory reporting requirements, US GAAP, and tax accounting & reporting requirements
- Particular experience in controllership, including financial operations
- Prior experience managing a team
- Fluent in English both written and spoken
- Knowledge of SAP, MS office
