Job Requirements
- Undertake mold design work according to product 2D/3D drawings, technical requirements and production process, including mold structure design, part design, material selection and drawing release.
- Track mold processing and manufacturing progress in mold factories, conduct on-site communication and technical guidance to ensure mold delivery time and processing quality
- Organize and participate in mold trial, test mold verification, data recording and problem analysis, and promote mold modification and optimization until mass production conditions are met.
- Establish and maintain mold files, including design drawings, BOM, test reports, modification records and maintenance manuals.
- Cooperate with R&D team to conduct product manufacturability evaluation (DFM) in the early stage of product development, put forward professional suggestions for mold and structure optimization.
- Work with quality team to analyze mold-related quality defects, formulate improvement plans and verify implementation effects.
- Continuously optimize mold structure, materials and processing technology to reduce production costs and improve production efficiency and product quality.
- Master and apply mold-related standards, specifications and new technologies, and promote technical improvement and innovation.
What your background should look like
- 10+ years of working experience in mold design, development, trial and maintenance; experience in rubber injection mold is preferred.
- Master professional knowledge such as mechanical drawing, tolerance fit and material mechanics, accurately control mold precision and assembly requirements.
- Familiar with mold industry standards (e.g., relevant GB/T and ISO standards) and ensure designs meet industry norms and customer requirements.
- Understand mold cost accounting logic and balance performance and cost optimization in design.
- Proficient in 3D design software such as UG, Pro/E (Creo), SolidWorks and 2D drawing software such as AutoCAD.
- Familiar with mold processing technology, mold materials, heat treatment and mold trial process; able to independently solve mold design and on-site production problems.
- Knowledge of DFM, mold flow analysis and product manufacturing process is a plus.
- Good logical thinking, problem-solving ability and project tracking ability.
- Excellent communication, coordination and teamwork spirit, able to work under pressure.
- Good English reading and writing skills; able to read English technical drawings and documents is preferred.
