Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Materials Planning Teams are responsible for the plans, schedules, and monitoring of the movement of material through the production cycle. They determine quantity and order date for materials to meet production or engineering schedules, initiate purchase or production requisitions compliant with supply agreements, and develop the schedule to be used in the production facility based on forecasts and historical analysis. The Team develops specifications for new contract orders as well as forecasts and plans for labor requirements. They provide timely and accurate input on supplier performance and may be asked to participate in higher level supplier performance reviews with the strategic sourcing team. They also monitor cost, schedule and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value.

What your background should look like:

1.Responsible for production planning, scheduling and inventory control by using SAP. 
2.Interface closely with Production and all plant support groups to ensure activities are defined accurately and executed effectively.
3.Partner with production to develop a Production plan that meets customer service requirements while maintaining minimum inventory and optimal manufacturing cost.
4.Creates and releases Production Orders with awareness of customer request dates, component and capacity availability, and any other resource issues needed to support on-time delivery to internal and external customers.
Manage daily MRP exception reports for Finished Goods while optimizing on-hand inventory and meeting service requirements. Manage future late: attempt to correct orders which were reconfirmed to later date than original confirmation date.
5.Advises on availability date of finished products to Customer Service teams.  Confirms all unconfirmed customer orders in SAP.
6.Reduce Past dues, Manage Pull-ins and drive improvement actions
Participation in weekly/monthly Production Meetings to review and agree production requirements
7.Perform with minimal costs of premium freight to ship out finished products to meet customer requirements.                                 8.Closely manage the internal and external capacity utilization and production order fulfilment rate to make sure the on time delivery

Education, Technical Qualification & Experience
1. Minimum 3 year experience both at production and material planning                                                                                       2. Advanced knowledge in ERP and MRP, SAP preferred
3. Good communication and analytical skills
4. Basic spoken and written English
