Job Overview

Designs and implements manufacturing techniques, processes, tools, and machinery to maximize throughput; researches on products and processes to optimize efficiency.

Job Requirements

  • Responsible for design, program, and debug automation equipment and production lines, including PLC, HMI, servo systems, vision systems, robots, and pneumatic/hydraulic control systems.
  • Conduct equipment commissioning, on-site debugging, performance verification, and acceptance testing to ensure compliance with technical specifications and production requirements.
  • Analyze equipment downtime, faults, and bottlenecks; implement root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive actions to improve OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).
  • Optimize equipment programs, control logic, mechanical structures, and process parameters to enhance production efficiency, stability, and product quality.
  • Cooperate with mechanical, electrical, process, and quality engineers to complete new equipment introduction, line upgrade, automation transformation, and new product launch (NPL) projects.
  • Develop and maintain equipment technical documents, including electrical schematics, P&ID, program files, operation manuals, maintenance guides, and fault handling procedures.
  • Provide technical support for production teams, including on-site troubleshooting, operator training, and daily maintenance guidance.
  • Follow safety standards, electrical codes, and company regulations to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with EHS requirements.
  • Track and apply advanced automation technologies (e.g., AI vision, industrial Internet, digital twins) to support intelligent manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaboration with procurement and suppliers to enable technology integration and ensure delivery schedules to meet deadlines.

What your background should look like

  • More than 5 years of relevant work experience in equipment design, procurement, installation, operation and maintenance in manufacturing industry; experience in new production line construction is preferred.
  • Experience in large-scale automated line integration, project management, or equipment transformation projects.
  • Proficiency in at least one mainstream PLC programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, Omron, etc.) and HMI configuration.
  • Familiar with industrial robots (Fanuc, ABB, Yaskawa, etc.), servo drives, pneumatic systems, vision inspection systems, and standard industrial communication protocols (Profinet, Ethernet/IP, Modbus, etc.).
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, P&ID, and mechanical drawings; experience in equipment debugging and on-site problem solving.
  • Basic programming and software skills; familiar with MS Office and engineering drawing software.
  • Strong logical thinking, hands-on ability, problem-solving awareness, and project execution capability.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills; able to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
