Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Sales & Marketing Support Teams assist with implementing sales/marketing initiatives by providing technical and/or product information support (i.e., data analysis, tracking, etc.). They are also responsible for planning and coordinating promotional programs and other communications initiatives.


The Tender Manager will be responsible for all execution and managerial aspects of the tendering process and provision of best-in-class documentation for submissions. The Tender Manager works with the business management team, TE support functions, customers, and field application engineers in the execution of tender submissions that support the Company’s strategic plan. The Tender Manager will mainly be office based and work with colleagues across Europe through conference calls to drive the process and execute submissions. As a Tender Manager you will be responsible for providing the entire tender submission cycle management
and particularly:

  • Maintaining and continuously improving the management of tendering processes and procedures.
  • Meet own business targets and those of the team as a whole as agreed with Tender Portfolio Manager.
  • Building and leading the tender teams incl. contributing to training and development of the team.
  • Setting up, leading, and managing the smooth running of the tender team.
  • Working with Account Managers to identify opportunities for tender proposals.
  • Coordinating collaboration with all Tender Team members and particularly with Account Manager, Product Mangers and Project Managers (if applicable).
  • Drafting the proposal and supporting the proposal’s co-author(s) in content, style  and structure.
  • Coordinating proposal’s translations, if necessary.

What your background should look like:

  • Min. 3 years of experience as Tender Manager or actively preparing Tender Submissions (preferably) gained in the international environment
  • Fluent English and German/French/Spanish/Polish/Czech/Slovak
  • Exceptional organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, with deadlines and challenging targets
  • Able to work both independently and as a team as well as to interact professionally and collaboratively with all organizational levels
  • Working experience from cross-functional teamwork (projects / tender task forces)
  • University degree in the relevant discipline, e.g. business, economics, engineering, etc.
  • Working knowledge of Utility Tenders, or Electrical
