Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Supply Chain Managers are responsible for the timely, cost-effective procurement, inventory control, planning and quality control of production materials. They ensure the availability of materials in the supply chain, as scheduled, and the maintenance of inventory at the established levels. They coordinate and integrate the flow of materials and information among suppliers, manufacturers, distributors and customers, identifying opportunities for improving efficiency, effectiveness and capabilities of the supply chain. Resources are focused on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through production processes, and the establishment of key performance metrics and benchmarks to monitor actual performance against goals.

Responsibilities:

The Manager, Supply Chain Strategy role is an integral part of ensuring the success of the Industrial Devices Sub-Vertical. This role will be responsible for leading continuous improvement programs for Supply Chain (e.g. network planning, inventory optimization, net zero supply chain, govern performance with analytics and support Supply Chain digital roadmap. This role will lead the strategy review process to ensure performance against key program elements and ensure commitments to fiscal year objectives are being met. This role will also be responsible for driving the development of SCM analytics and score cards by leading the dedicated analyst while ensuring alignment with the corporate analytics team. 

•    Responsible for the overall strategy and execution of supply chain management function as well as the planning and directing of activities and operations of the business
•    Assist logistics process for the development of new products, inventory maintenance, manufacturing, shipment and delivery, and returns on products
•    Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities to streamline process and improve accuracy and efficiency within operations
•    Collaborate with others from diverse backgrounds in order to identify problems and find solutions
•    Create the company’s supply chain strategy. Find cost-effective solutions for supply chain processes
•    Evaluate supply chain inventory and records
•    Train and guide employees
•    Collaborate with other departments to create coordinated plans for business growth
•    Develop and implement safety guidelines in all aspects of the supply chain 
•    Ensure supply chain processes meet legal requirements and standards

What your background should look like:

•    5+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management
•    5+ years of experience in working with cross-technical and/or cross-functional teams
•    Experience in developing global supply chain strategy
•    Experience in leading continuous improvement activities
•    English working proficiency
•    Master’s degree in business or Economics preferably
•    Green Belt/Black Belt certification would be an advantage
•    Communication and presentation skills
•    Analytical and problem solver
•    Able to plan, design and create the elements necessary for delivering useful solutions and insights
