TE Connectivity’s Supplier Development function plays a critical role in delivering value across our global supply chain. As a Supplier Development Supervisor, you will lead the team of Supplier Development with supplier engagement and development initiatives to drive measurable improvements in cost, delivery, quality, risk mitigation, and compliance. This includes executing productivity workshops, managing supplier onboarding and audits, supporting complaint resolution, and guiding suppliers through digital tool implementation like SAP S4/Hana and SupplyOn. You will serve as the key driver for supplier capability improvement, collaborating closely with Procurement, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to strengthen TE’s external supply base.
Your main tasks:
Lead the team as supervisor to manage the performance through the following responsibilities in EMIA region:
- Cost Performance
- Lead on-site supplier productivity workshops focused on process optimization, scrap reduction, and TE best practice sharing.
- Drive savings acceleration projects through coordination of sampling, mold/die trials, and tooling transfers.
- Delivery Performance
- Lead supplier workshops and initiatives aimed at reducing lead times and improving delivery performance.
- Quality Performance
- Lead support for quality complaints using the 8D methodology; ensure timely and effective root cause analysis and resolution.
- Manage and execute supplier audits, including process, quality system, and certification audits.
- Supplier Onboarding & Training
- Lead onboarding of new or transitioning suppliers, ensuring readiness post-footprint or sourcing changes.
- Support alternative supplier development and capability ramp-up.
- Supplier Management
- Manage supplier compliance and sustainability escalations in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Coordinate supplier QBRs and communicate supplier performance updates to relevant functions.
- Conduct risk assessments and escalate red flags, issues, and performance concerns.
- Digital Tools Implementation
- Lead supplier enablement and ongoing support for SAP S4/Hana and MDG.
Guide suppliers in the adoption and effective use of SupplyOn.
Your ideal background:
- University degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in commodity management of procurement to drive cost reduction. Experience in supplier quality, manufacturing, or a similar role is a plus. Minimum 5 years’ experience of team management.
- Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional improvement initiatives.
- Familiarity with ISO9001, IATF 16949, and VDA 6.3 (auditor certification is a plus).
- Fluent in English; additional languages are an asset.
- Willingness to travel (30–50%).
