Strategy and Business Development Associate - Electrical

Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Product Management Teams manage all aspects of a product, from driving new product development to manufacturing to marketing. They are responsible for overall product strategy, business leadership and capacity plans in order to meet sales and profit targets.

Position Overview

To continue to offer the best connectivity solutions to our customers, we are seeking a Strategy and Business Development Associate to join our rapidly growing industrial electrical global organization to help strengthen our inorganic approach by identifying new product partners, cultivating and M&A target list and supporting our product management team in developing their strategies. The candidate will have to manage various project in order to support the business management team to drive progress and execution on these topics.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the strategic planning process and strategy reviews.
  • Drive the business’s M&A pipeline, making sure the targets are aligned with our strategy and developing the right actions to improve our knowledge of some targets and partners and improve actionability
  • Establish and lead growth projects from concept to completion.
  • Communicate ideas, findings, recommendations, and plans to the organization to influence behaviors and business decisions.
  • Identify, evaluate, and negotiate business development opportunities with internal stakeholders.
  • Establish,support and oversee ongoing reviews, report outs, and other function and team responsibilities.
  • Key projects may include:
    • Leading outside-in discovery of product / market opportunities.
    • Developing go-to-market strategies.
    • Optimizing customer service models.
    • M&A-related projects.
    • Supporting and developing key sales & marketing initiatives.

What your background should look like:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, science, or engineering from a top institution; MBA preferred.
  • 5-7 years’ experience in various roles (e.g., sales, business development, or marketing) in a corporate environment. Preferred 2-3 years with a top-tier consulting firm and/or internal corporate strategy/business development group.
  • Conceptual and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Managing multiple tasks/projects: work in a fast-paced environment in a matrix organization in a self-directed manner.
  • Attention to detail and producing consistent, measurable results.
  • Very good communication skills, experience in working with stakeholders on a different seniority level.
  • Systems savvy: Advanced capabilities in Excel, PowerPoint. Knowledge of analytical software (e.g., Tableau) and coding language preferred.
