Job Overview

The TE Connectivity Professional Services team, which you will become part of, manages the cross-functional services for Energy EMEA. It executes, among others advanced cabling projects for solar farms. Takes responsibility for initiating, preparing, and implementing profitable projects that provide customers with competitive cabling solutions and enable the creation of state-of-the-art photovoltaic installations that meet requirements of the new energy landscape.


As a Project Manager you will be responsible for providing the entire project lifecycle management 
and particularly,

•    Be present and active in the project pre- and development phase, assuring support to Business Development Manager, 

•    Establishing the overall project planning e.g., project charter, work breakdown structure, quality assurance plan, quality control plan, communication plan, budget framework, etc. 
•    Creating, lead, and mange project team(s)

•    Ensuring that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
•    Take on a proactive role in identifying and controlling risks for the project.
•    Ensuring that engineering, procurement, construction, and logistics elements of projects are executed in a manner consistent with the as-sold expectations of company customers
•    Ensuring that the supplied equipment, components, tools, services, etc. are carefully checked to follow the Employer and Contract Requirements 
•    Following up and steer the (front-end) engineering and design work and ensure coordination between the contractual Employer Requirements,
•    Ensuring necessary recommendations on choices between solutions and suppliers
•    Following - up and coordinate the overall procurement process and ensure timely securing of the required contracts.
•    Supporting various negotiations within the procurement process.
•    Supporting various negotiations in conflicts with contractors or suppliers
•    Backing technical relationships with contractors & sub-contractors, funders, DSOs, and others 
•    Solving issues, problems, and conflicts that arise in the project’s execution 
•    Building relationships with key stakeholders e.g. EPC Contractors
•    Maintain effective relationship with Steering Committee
•    Ensuring stakeholder satisfaction and proper communication

•    Establishing the overall project monitoring and control structure
•    Monitoring performance metrics, project schedules, risk profiles, and cost performance of the project in accordance with project and company systems and practices
•    Undertaking corrective actions in case of unsatisfying project performance

•    Ensuring that all projects meet projects financial and monetary requirements

Your background should look like this:

•    Professional qualification in project management (PMI or comparable)
•    Min. 3 years of experience as project manager (preferably) of mid - / large-scale PV projects, procurement project manager, or equivalent, gained in the international environment
•    Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
•    Synthetic mindset as well as problem-solving orientation and ability,
•    Ability to work under pressure, with deadlines and challenging targets,
•    Able to work both independently and as a team,
•    Working knowledge & experience with project management software tools e.g. MS Project, Think Project, etc.


•    Diploma in electrical engineering, industrial construction, business administration, 
or equivalent fields
•    Working knowledge of large-/mid-scale PV systems 
•    Working knowledge of industrial construction, particularly under EPC or EPCM regime
•    Working knowledge of supply processes for utility-scale construction projects


•    Customer-oriented mindset
•    Ability to identify and anticipate customers’ needs
•    Strong customer service skills 

•    Strong communication skills both written and oral,
•    Fluency in English, both, written and oral is a must, 
•    Fluency or business proficiency in Spanish, or Arabic language would be a strong asset
•    Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office

•    Willingness to 30%-50% of working time spending in travel
