Job Overview

Professional Services Team, of which you will become a part, manages cross-functional services for TE Energy EMEA. It co ordinates, among others advanced cabling projects for large-scale photovoltaic and wind farms, provides power utilities tender submission service, and assures technical support for the TE Energy sales processes. Technical Service Team is a key component and contributor to Professional Services. It works closely with Product Management, Sales, Customer Service, Quality Management, Manufacturing, and Finance, as well as with external stakeholders to provide technical support for comprehensive responses to tenders, projects, quotes, and daily technical queries.

Senior Technical Service Specialist is a professional serving mainly the cross-functional product management, tender teams and project teams to support and sales solutions for the creation of comprehensive responses to requests for proposals (RFP/RFT/RFQ; tenders /quotations). 
 

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Technical Service Specialist you will be responsible for providing the comprehensive technical service for TE Energy Sales, Customer Service, Product Management, and particularly:

•    Supporting in taking care of dedicated GPLs (e.g. heat & cold shrink LV &MV cable accessories)
•    Providing the day-to-day technical support for sales and business development  
•    Defining, selecting and verifying products / solutions applicable to customer-specific requirements
•    Coordinating technical audits, type tests, FAT, and post-manufacturing reports, etc.
•    Being the first point of contact for type-test reports, data sheet, drawings etc.
•    Estimating and analyzing costs of the product(s) as support for product management, purchase & finance unit
•    Being an active member of tender and project teams
•    Supporting the tender quotes and RFQ’s (i.a. projects) from technical point of view for EMEA Customers 

Technical Service Specialist will be office based (Kraków, Poland) and work with colleagues and customers across Europe mainly through remote communication measures.

What your background should look like:

KEY PROFESSIONAL PROFICIENCIES:

•    Minimum bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or similar disciplines
•    Working knowledge of electrical equipment and insulation technology for industrial and utility applications
•    Expertise in LV cable accessories and cable technologies (must have),
•    Expertise in MV cable accessories and cable technologies will be an asset, 
•    Minimum 5-years’ working experience in technical product support 
•    Working experience with project management and task forces
•    Working understanding of power business operations (utilities & industrial)
•    Common understanding of Energy Industry and energy business trends
•    Rudimentary knowledge and experience with product management
•    Rudimentary logistic and supply chain understanding.

•    Customer-oriented mindset
•    Ability to identify and anticipate customers’ needs.
•    Strong customer service skills 
 
COMMUNICATION

•    Strong communication skills both written and oral,
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (written and oral fluency) 
•    Business level proficiency in German, or French, Spanish, Italian, Slavic languages will be an asset. 
•    Very good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
•    Understanding the international work environment and multicultural sensitivity.

MOBILITY

•    Mobility: flexibility in working days and travelling if required by the business (up to 20%)
