Job Overview

As Senior Manager Operations Finance, you will be a key member of the Global Finance team, supporting the Senior Director Operations Finance to provide financial and business support for our Operations business partners in the Sensors business.  This is a global role that will interact directly with finance and senior management across both the IMS and TRS sub-vertical business units and with all of our manufacturing locations.  The successful candidate must be able to deliver results through influence and maintain strong working relationships with multiple stakeholders across multiple time zones and cultures.  The right candidate will be action-oriented and able to learn on the job and challenge themselves to step outside of their comfort zone in order to make an impact on the business.  Key to success will be your ability to work with varied stakeholders and with high volumes of data from multiple sources to produce clear financial commentary and insights, as well as the ability to prioritize effectively.

Key Responsibilities of the Position:

•    Manage consolidation of monthly financial reports, and preparation of periodic Operations review packages.
•    Partnering and working closely with the Sr Dir Operations Finance, VP Operations and his SLT.
•    Ability to gather, collate, and analyse multiple varied sources of information across global locations.
•    Develop and deliver clear financial commentary related to manufacturing productivity, production costs and output and cash flow impact of inventories and capital expenditures.
•    Lead the Operations budgeting and forecasting process, including consolidation of the financial outlook, and act as the key point of liaison with the BU FP&A and Segment Operations Finance teams.
•    Review and monitor of spend, implementing and maintaining an appropriate and effective control environment, including counter-measure action planning to address excess spend.
•    Analysing and reporting on capacity initiatives and investments.
•    Partnering with the Business Transformation Office (BTO) to ensure appropriate decision-making and controls are in place in relation to footprint and migration projects impacting Operations.
•    Assist and own ad-hoc strategic and operational projects as required.
 

Key Requirements / Skills and Experience:

•    Certified Accountant, or equivalent experience.
•    Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting or related field.
•    5+ years of finance experience
•    Extensive experience of working in finance in a manufacturing environment.
•    Extensive and exceptional MS Excel knowledge and experience.
•    Ability to interact effectively and influence decision making at all levels of the organization.
•    Able to picture “simple” solutions to complex business scenarios involving multiple systems and accounting disciplines across multiple regions.
•    Ability to communicate complex business issues in a clear/concise manner and relate to colleagues at all levels and in all locations.
•    Open to change in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations.
•    Team player with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a focus on business impact.
•    Detail-oriented, organized, and demonstrated ability to multi-task and shift priorities quickly.

Desirable:
•    Multi-national experience.
•    Consolidation experience, in an environment with a large number of manufacturing sites.
•    SAP, Hyperion, TED, TEBIT experience.
