We are looking for a seasoned, customer-obsessed Program Manager to further strengthen our Channel Business Unit (CBU) Applications Focus Growth (AFG) and Sales Incentive Plan (SIP) strategies and execution methodologies.
As an integral individual contributor, you will help drive the CBU AFG / SIP strategies with a focus on global business models, 3+ year business plans and formal road maps. You will help drive the vision, strategy, and execution of our AFG / SIP solutions and data analytics via providing our internal stakeholders with the process documentation, strategy definition and KPI toolsets required to be successful at the CBU + enterprise levels. The Program Manager will assist the teams in all prioritization and resource management while effectively communicating program status, anticipating and escalating program issues, and proposing solutions to meet program goals based on expertise and experience.
What is an AFG?
Application-focused growth (AFG) is an approach whereby TE targets specific, high-potential applications within a broader industry to drive market growth and provide tailored solutions. This strategy emphasizes understanding the unique needs of those applications and leveraging expertise in those specific areas to deliver value to customers.
Instead of a broad approach, AFG identifies specific applications within a market that have high growth potential due to factors like increased adoption or new use cases. AFG aims to provide tailored solutions and superior customer experience by focusing on the specific needs of the targeted applications. In essence, AFG is about focusing efforts on the most promising applications within a market to drive growth, deliver value, and achieve a competitive advantage.
What is SIP?
A sales incentive plan is a strategy that TE uses to motivate and reward our field sales and customer care teams for achieving or exceeding predetermined sales targets. It is a structured approach that supplements an individual’s salary with additional financial rewards based on their performance. These plans aim to drive sales growth, increase employee engagement, and improve overall performance

Your main tasks:
▪ Aid in the development of a strategic vision, comprehensive roadmap and action plan aligned with TE’s ACL (Automation and Connected Living) AFG segment strategy, priorities, market trends, and customer needs.
▪ Partner with internal AFG + SIP stakeholders (noted below) to drive principles and processes that align with the AFG POS / conversion growth goals of the enterprise + CBU
o Field Sales team
o Strategy / Business Development (SBD)
o Sales Enablement team
o Customer Care team
o BU SE + AFG team(s)
o Other internal stakeholders as require
▪ Analyze enterprise-level AFG / SIP performance to identify pain points, and improvement opportunities.
▪ Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and smart analytics (e.g., dashboards) that utilize data-driven insights to continuously optimize tools, track performance, and iterate improvement.
▪ Regularly communicate AFG / SIP program updates, progress, and challenges to stakeholders at all organizational levels. Effectively communicate product strategies, updates, and insights to internal teams, ensuring alignment and support for integral AFG / SIP initiatives.
▪ This individual will own documentation and tracking program execution, including definition and execution to a regular cadence of meetings, reporting, program metrics, and countermeasures.
▪ Possess an initiative-taking willingness to understand AFG products and sub-applications; conversant in ‘Why TE’ and ‘What are the TE advantages?’
What your background should look like:
- Minimum 8 years of work experience with a relevant university degree or equivalent experience.
- Deep industry knowledge of macro and micro market drivers affecting AFG.
- Broad knowledge of manufacturing and distribution markets.
- Clear communicator with strong writing skills; suited for organized, direct candidates who manage conflict and drive progress.
- Strong analytical skills; able to use data to support decisions and challenge ideas positively.
- Extensive experience working independently on complex initiatives in a matrix environment, collaborating with remote teams across cultures and time zones.
- Ability to develop innovative solutions for complex problems. Accountable for results impacting the function and providing thought leadership on broader organization programs.
