Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Product Management Teams manage all aspects of a product, from driving new product development to manufacturing to marketing. They are responsible for overall product strategy, business leadership and capacity plans in order to meet sales and profit targets.
The successful candidate will become the technical subject matter expert for the portfolio - focus primarily on Utility(grid) applications.
Supports RPM(regional product manager) and sales to provide sales support:
• Interpret customer specs and design solutions,
• Management and provision of technical support documentation.
• Present WAP solutions to customers in alignment with sales,
Task Summary and responsibilities
• Manage customer site visits to:
– Brainstorm, scope and design solutions.
– Implement field trials, trial fits
– Provision of installation training on-site and in-lab.
• Prototype and sample preparation, costing and support for EMEA RPM
• Supports product defect analysis and reporting
• Supports and facilitates customer inspections at production locations or at independent test laboratories
• Facilitates knowledge sharing and development in the EMEA sales team
• Provides product technical support and expertise to sales organisation
• Prepares all documentation needed by sales to promote product line including Regional Customisation\Design, Test Reports, Research Papers, Capability Brochures, Product Data Sheets, Sales Presentations
• Technical support for WAP & project management of assigned sales projects
• Liaises with Engineering and Sales on new “Light\App Eng” product introductions
• Competition Analysis: Continually supports update knowledge base on competition, products and markets
• Manage the following monthly review and reporting processes:
Knowledge, Skills & Innovation requirements:
• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, preferable in high voltage or power technology
• Strong technical background in electrical and mechanical engineering
• 3-5 years relevant industry experience
• Utility grid related experience
• Good communication and presentation skills in primary and secondary languages.
• English fluency is required
An advantage to have:
• Knowledge of the Energy market and network configuration
• Commercial experience, i.e. tender process, pricing, customer
• Demonstrable management and leadership skills
• International project management experience
