Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Environmental Health & Safety Teams ensure and monitor safety in the workplace. This includes the application and communication of health, safety and hazardous material standards, procedures and practices consistent with TE, environmental and government regulations.


Reporting to the Global INDUSTRY BU EHS Leader, this position will work closely and partner with all levels of our business unit and will interface with Corporate EHS. Responsible for managing, coordinating, monitoring and driving the implementation of EHS activities and policies of the organization globally to improves EHS performance consistent with Business Unit goals. Position is located within EMEA region, work from home possible. Position will on occasion require travel internationally as business needs dictate.

Specific tasks:

•    Provide a working interface between the EMEA Plants
•    Maintain and implement a current compliance program designed to meet specific geographic and business needs
•    Develop policies and procedures and work with management to ensure uniform compliance with regards to country, state, local and company regulations throughout the facility
•    Coordinate reporting, tracking, and trend analysis of workplace incidents, injuries, and illnesses
•    Develop and manage EHS training for the region including the development of minimum requirements, programs, and policies for those standards and areas where consistency across the company is critical
•    Work with site management to set short (annual) goals for safety, health and environmental system improvements which include suitable reductions in injury and illness and environmental incidents
•    Create and lead cross-functional teams to support EHS global process improvements
•    Provide guidance and direction to Value Stream EHS teams

What your background should look like:

•    A degree, preferably in Safety Science or other related technical fields and 5+ years of EHS working experience in a manufacturing environment
•    Demonstrated measurable results in change management towards reduced safety incidents, positive safety culture and employee involvement in safety action plans
•    Knowledge of lean manufacturing tools; standard work, 5S, Kaizen, and Gemba
•    Ability to prioritize issues, analyze root cause and implement effective corrective actions
•    Regional EHS management experience preferred
•    Excellent analytical, project management, organizational and communication skills, both oral and written
•    Professional certification preferred (Certified Safety Professional, Certified Industrial Hygienist, Certified Hazardous Material Manager, or country equivalent)
