Job Overview

The TE Industrial business unit of TE Connectivity has an opportunity for an experienced Distribution Sales Engineer to drive revenue and new business opportunities in the Electronic and Electrical Distribution Partners. The successful candidate will be responsible for growing TE Industrial product sales thru TE Connectivity’s Managed distribution channel. They will be the local point of contact and establish relationships with their distributor teams and connect partners to our internal organization.  The successful candidate will be the liaison to these partners and will be responsible for getting correct resources from the team to provide product knowledge, technical expertise, product application information to their partner and the partner’s customers. 
This position is fully remote.


•    Create strategy, establish KPIs, and drive distributor sales performance in the assigned territory by focus on application and product trends, new product introduction and competitive cross reference activities
•    Achieve a solid understanding of TE Industrial product portfolio and new product launch roadmap
•    Create awareness of product opportunities and design-in across various applications through opportunity identification sessions, branch training, and branch reviews
•    Relationship management with distribution partners
•    Stay in permanent direct contact (visits, email, phone) with the customer to ensure ongoing support and communication
•    Analyze the existing business environment in the respective sales territory and industry to identify new market trends and identify new potential prospects
•    Create a growth strategy for the distribution partners and feed into the organization 

What your background should look like:

•    Bachelor’s degree of Engineering with proven commercial track record or an economic study with proven engineering track record 
•    Minimum 5 years professional Industrial level experience and Market knowledge
•    Professional level of good commercial understanding
•    Good understanding of technical complexes 
•    Desired experience in account planning and project management or in electronic distribution
•    Strong interpersonal and influencing skills and the ability to build strong, credible relationships with multiple organization functions (inside and outside of TE) 
•    Clear, strategic thinker with the ability to execute on priorities 
•    English language skills to communicate internally with the global organization, German language would be an advantage
