Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Supply Chain Managers are responsible for the timely, cost-effective procurement, inventory control, planning and quality control of production materials. They ensure the availability of materials in the supply chain, as scheduled, and the maintenance of inventory at the established levels. They coordinate and integrate the flow of materials and information among suppliers, manufacturers, distributors and customers, identifying opportunities for improving efficiency, effectiveness and capabilities of the supply chain. Resources are focused on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through production processes, and the establishment of key performance metrics and benchmarks to monitor actual performance against goals.

Role and responsibilities

The Supply Chain Senior Analyst role assesses, implements, and supports standardization, transformation, and automation across Supply Chain sub-processes. This role will be responsible for setting up and managing Supply Chain programs (e.g. VMI/Consignment, Safety Stock and Customer Forecast / Liability) for Key accounts of the Industrial business unit, assisting Sales in setting up and implementing new Stocking Agreements, manage account review process to ensure customer- specific inventory levels are being met. This role works in coordination with Continuous Improvement (TEOA), Supply Chain Analysts/Experts and Customer Service Analysts across the globe and reports directly to the Customer Supply Chain Manager.

Additional expertise and comfort in data (obtaining, manipulating, analyzing) will be crucial in efficiently performing ad-hoc analysis, identifying areas for standard reporting, and resolving ongoing issues.


Responsibilities 

  • Based in customer interactions, identify opportunities to better serve our top customers to unlock growth
  • Identify the dissatisfaction & satisfaction drivers from any feedbacks available, drill down to root causes and prescribe / monitor improvement plans
  • Identify small signals from Customers, analyze them and implement preventive solutions
  • Setup and manage supply chain programs and agreements (VMI/Consignment, Safety Stock, Customer Forecasts, Liability Agreements), ensure customer compliance to all contractual requirements
  • Identify needs for special agreements for core customers
  • Determine Customer Specific safety stock / Consignment Min-Max level to drive Customer experience and reduce Customer lead-times, work with sales for input of Safety Stock levels
  • Coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure timely progress on ongoing projects, and emerging issues
  • Use analysis results to improve supply chain processes, performance and to reduce cost
  • Manage regular touchpoints with account teams (e.g. Quarterly and Annual Reviews)
  • Review of forecast accuracy for top customers (forecast vs demand), monitor and drive appropriate actions 
  • Determine Customer Specific safety stock / Consignment Min-Max level to drive Customer experience and reduce Customer lead-times. Work with sales for input of Safety Stock levels and Provide Monthly updates of Customer Specific Safety Stock Levels.
  • Assist Quality and the Sales Team with forecast information for customer’s requests: Weekly Sales Forecast Numbers, Part Change Notifications, Allocated Parts, Obsolescence, Superseding Part Numbers, Business Transfers and Quality challenges.

Key KPIs may include: Improve Ship to Request, Decrease Customer Weighted Average Lead Time, Reduction of Days on Hand Inventory, Improve Customer Experience
Drive systemic delivery issue resolution

What your background should look like:

• Experience in Supply chain area – 5+ years
• Well versed with Data Analysis – SAP , Excel etc.
• Demonstrated Project Management Skills
• Experience in process improvements (standardization, transformation, automation)
• Decision making skills
• Ability to set right priorities
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills 
• Fluent in English
• Ability to travel (20%)
