Commercial Financial Analyst

Job Overview

Responsible for providing financial analysis, guidance, and support to the Sales Leaders and/or Product General Manager and Product Management team. These positions are expected to ensure profitable growth by improving Sales and/or Product Management performance through enhanced analysis, reporting, key performance indicator tracking, and follow up on critical items. Financial responsibilities include evaluating PAC projects, capital investments, product extensions, product pricing and rebate agreements, Strategic Plan process and long term P&L modelling, competitive and scenario analyses, driving financial intelligence and rigor across Finance and other non-Finance functions. 

Responsibilities:

•    Business partner to ICT (Industrial & Commercial Transportation) EMEA and India Sales Leaders
•    Develop quarterly sales, margin and accounts receivable forecast
•    Calculate and manage revenue related accruals (rebates, customer consignment, etc.)
•    Provide governance and compliance control on sales related process
•    Prepare and analyze customer-specific profitability analyses
•    Work closely with PM finance on product margin analysis and improvement
•    Monitor past due accounts receivable and partner with customer care team to solve issues
•    Active participant in sales and operations planning forecast
•    Drive continuous improvement in forecast and reporting processes 
•    Support ad-hoc requests from sales, demand, and business unit management

What your background should look like:

•    Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
•    MBA preferred
•    3+ years experience in FP&A, accounting, or business analytics role 
•    Analysis and problem-solving skills, strong excel knowledge and demonstrated data analytics
•    Demonstrated excellent communication skills, both verbally and written, for a senior executive audience
•    Able to tactfully highlight and defend positions in front of senior management
•    Team player with the ability to develop strong relationships with business partners
•    Financial system / ERP / Analytics software knowledge a plus (SAP, Hyperion, BPC, Tableau, Power BI)
