Business Excellence Manager

Business Excellence Manager will be a member of the Business Excellence Office and will take responsibility for deploying standard commercial / enginnering excellence frameworks across the 3 regions, applying lean principles in a way that we potentiate TE Energy Business Unit. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader with transformational growth experience, exceptional leadership skills, and the capability to inspire and drive teams toward achieving operational excellence and strategic business objectives.
This leader will be responsible for supporting commercial/product development leaders and deploying initiatives to roll-out and strengthen TEOA mindset throughout engineering functions and facilitating the creation of the customer centric culture desired to grow the business.
Role is open in Poland, France and UK.
Your main tasks:
Strategy:
- Lead the deployment of TE’s Continuous Improvement and Lean initiatives across the Energy BU, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy and operational goals.
- Establish and execute a structured, time-bound CI roadmap to drive operational efficiencies, cost reduction, and quality improvements.
- Implement and oversee tiered accountability meetings to monitor progress and ensure project milestones are met.
Execution:
- Monitor and improve business goals, targets, and metrics, ensuring they align with business strategy and annual priorities, in alignment with business excellence.
- Develop and execute strategic CI projects, including strong roll-out of Lean product development engineering best practices and body of knowledge.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve systemic engineering projects inefficiencies using Lean mindset and business excellence rigor.
- Drive best practices in DfX and industrialization principles.
- Act as a change agent to foster a culture of continuous improvement at all levels of the organization.
- Implement and sustain best practices in Lean product development, project deployment business excellence, Kaizen, and Supply network optimization.
- Develop training programs and mentor employees on Lean product development and engineering methodologies to build internal capabilities.
- Collaborate with global and regional teams to share engineering excellence best practices and standardize processes cross region and team.
Talent:
- Provide leadership and coaching on Lean thinking, problem-solving methodologies, and design for manufacturing, reliability and supply network optimization.
- Engage with senior leadership and plant managers to identify key areas for process improvement and operational excellence.
- Work cross-functionally with engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing teams to optimize end-to-end operations.
What your background should look like
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- 10 to 15 years of experience in engineering product and/or process development, with a focus on engineering excellence principles introduction.
- 5 to 8 years of experience in Lean product development, Six Sigma, and/or Business Excellence methodologies.
- Proven experience leading transformation initiatives across multiple regions.
- Working knowledge on engineering new product introduction capabilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with expertise in data analysis (Math and Stats - Six Sigma, Red-X, etc.).
- Strong project management skills with the ability to drive complex initiatives in a global environment.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and leadership skills, capable of influencing at all levels.
- Experience working in a matrixed organization with cross-functional teams.
- Fluent in both spoken and written English.
- Travel required, up to 50% internationally across the Americas, EMEA and APAC regions
