The Business Development Manager I will lead the execution and continuous improvement of ICT & AUT's Private Brand Label (PBL) and strategic partnership initiatives globally. This role is responsible for identifying, evaluating, developing, onboarding, and managing external partners that support product roadmap acceleration, portfolio, capability or technology gap closure, and growth objectives. Leveraging a strong procurement and supplier management background, the successful candidate will work closely with Procurement, Legal, Product Management, Supplier Quality, IP, Project management, Engineering, and Operations in a global setting to ensure efficient execution of Private Brand Label and strategic partnership contracts and alignment with TE supplier standards.
Your main tasks
- Identify, evaluate, and develop strategic partnership and PBL opportunities that support growth objectives defined by AUT and ICT leadership.
- Lead partner engagement from qualification through commercial agreement execution and launch readiness.
- Validate supplier capabilities, commercial competitiveness, operational readiness, and strategic fit.
- Partner with Procurement and Supplier Quality to ensure suppliers meet TE qualification, compliance, and performance requirements.
- Support negotiation of commercial agreements, pricing structures, and partnership frameworks.
- Serve as the primary liaison between Business Development, Product management, Legal and Procurement for partner onboarding and governance activities.
- Coordinate cross functional activities involving Legal, IP, Product Management, Engineering, Quality, and Operations.
- Lead initiatives to simplify, standardize, and improve PBL and partnership execution processes.
- Identify and mitigate commercial, operational, quality, and supply chain risks.
- Support creation of business cases, recommendations, performance metrics, and leadership updates.
Your ideal background
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, Operations, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Business Development, Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Supplier Management, Supply Chain, or related commercial functions.
- Experience negotiating commercial agreements and managing supplier or partner relationships.
- Strong understanding of supplier qualification, sourcing processes, supplier governance, and risk management.
- Experience working cross functionally with Procurement, Legal, Product Management, Quality, and Operations teams.
- Strong project management, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in industrial manufacturing, transportation, automotive, commercial vehicles, electronics, or engineered products industries.
- Experience with private label, brand label, contract manufacturing, strategic partnerships, or supplier management programs.
- Familiarity with supplier audits, supplier quality systems, compliance requirements, and commercial governance frameworks.
- Experience leading process improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
