Job Overview

TE Connectivity, Energy Division is currently seeking an experienced Manager Commercial Excellence for the EMEA region.  This newly created role will help Sales to gain share of market & share of wallet, drive efficiencies by owning the core commercial processes, in particular around tender management, industrial project management, forecasting and customer service. Additionally, the Manager Commercial Excellence will define the cultural & process transformation towards a digital / physical hybrid sales approach, enabling an extraordinary customer experience.

An open mind to continuously look for improvement areas and having a “customer first” mindset will be important to achieve success in this role which is a potential development step into the Commercial Operations function. 

  • Sales: Create for our two industries a clear opportunity conversion process (utility = tender; renewables / industrials = EPC project) as well as tools for efficient preparation, execution and tracking of tenders & projects, enabling alignment of all relevant stakeholders and reducing administrative work for the sales force
  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM): own the CRM sales process from lead to quote and champion salesforce.com IT enhancement projects
  • Digital Sales: Maximize our sales efficiency and reduce our cost to serve by implementing a hybrid sales process (virtual and physical customer meetings); upskill our sales organization to leverage digital sales tools e.g. lead management
  • Forecasting: Design & roll out the EMEA Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) forecasting process & related tools, aligned to Global S&OP requirements, to support efficient decision making for balancing demand & supply in medium to long term and optimizing resources utilization
  • Customer Service: Supports the Customer Service organization in standardizing & optimizing processes (TEOA framework) & tools that provides the organization with bandwidth to focus on activities that drive superior customer experience and growth
  • Pricing: Drives optimization of pricing processes & tools that accelerates speed to quote as well as reduces price leakage and maximizes margins
  • Customer Experience: champion sales customer experience process changes to delight our customers
  • Optimizes process & tools to drive data integrity and reporting standardization as well as customer, product & market coding/segmentation
  • Proposes process improvements for the sales organization and for our customers and owns the cadence calendar
  • Drives standardization and automation

What your background should look like:

  • In-depth knowledge of and proven results with LEAN/Continuous Improvement methodologies and tools
  • Good knowledge of sales automation & reporting tools (Tableau) and CRM systems (Salesforce)
  • Minimum 5 years of applicable experience
  • Able to work with cross-functional team efforts
  • Strong communication skills 
  • English language level C1 (Advanced), additional languages are a plus
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree; Business, Marketing, Finance, Economics, MBA preferred
