STRATEGIC SOURCING ANALYST II
Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Strategic Sourcing Teams develop and implement multi-year strategies for assigned commodities, suppliers and parts/services to achieve established goals in supplier quality, delivery, price and service. They align strategy and execution with cross-functional partners such as engineering, manufacturing, product management and functional owners. They execute the competitive bid, negotiation, contracting processes and/or technical continuous improvement for assigned commodities or services; collaborate across Business Units and cross-regions for optimal TE leverage. Our teams demonstrate a high level of expertise in procurement competencies (business/supply chain acumen, negotiation, sourcing strategy development and execution, global savvy, and project and product lifecycle management) and ensure results are delivered compliant with TE policies and procedures.
Tasks Summary & Responsibilities (please enclose organizational charts)
Create and defines the supplier strategy, define suppliers into grow, fix and exit suppliers and maintains product footprint, incl. “make or buy”-analysis.
Execute Sourcing projects, both direct and indirect material, with the suppliers in close coordination with internal and external stake holders.
Achieve procurement KPI’s, incl. Material Productivity (CMP), Lead time performance, delivery (STR/STC), and Quality (DLPM).
Responsible for contracting of supplier commercial agreements, incl. bailment, inventory management and supply agreements.
Responsible for preparing RFQ’s, utilizing E-Tools, awarding new business and negotiation all raw materials, components, and tooling
Closely monitor capabilities and capacities of suppliers to avoid crisis
Accountable for info record and PO accuracy and communicate relevant data to SCM, incl. lead time, price and MOQ
Ensure and Drive MOQ optimization for material/components (incl. finished goods) used by the plant for production and establish supplier agreements, e. g. VMI, EDI, consignment, Scheduling Agreements frame order review, blanket PO)
Responsible for calculating impact and getting the PIA approved
Maintain healthiness of supplier by timely conducting risk assessment and Ensure that all suppliers meet TE requirements for compliance (RoHs, Reach, conflict minerals, supplier portal usage)
Drive / support the function to comply with the ISO Related documents, process and compliance check on regular frequency
What your background should look like:
Educational Degree Bachelor or above, Engineering background Mechanical Engineering Preferred
Professional Experience (years in what processes and functions would be ideal)
6+ years’ years’ experience in sourcing area
Experience in Electronics, Stamping, Machining, Moulding, PCB, Candidate with connector assembly or cable assembly industry is preferred
