Product Pricing Manager, Japan & SEA
Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Product Pricing Teams determine the price of new and existing products by evaluating cost, marketplace, competitor data, economic conditions, volume, and quality of the product, as well as market positioning.
Work location: Kawasaki, Kanagawa Japan. Business travel of around 10-25%
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead team, set and align the overall pricing principles for Japan and ASEAN Auto business with all relevant stakeholders - i.e., Sales, PM, Finance and Customer Care.
- Define Pricing processes and maintain workflows/tools to manage adherence and decide on exceptions.
- Improve pricing capabilities within product management and all other relevant functions.
- Identify pricing opportunities and propose pricing targets based on analysis of realized prices and comparison to target prices.
- Support price execution with competitive price intelligence / historical quote analyses, agreement management/monitoring, and process training for stakeholders.
- Monitor price execution, price/margin developments, win rates, and feedback into price-setting and pricing targets.
- Ensure integrity and accuracy of all pricing data.
- Support price decisions for commercial negotiation preparation for specific large business deals or focus products.
What your background should look like:
Candidate Profile:
- Degree in business management, finance, economics, or similar with excellent grades
- Relevant work experience in an operative pricing function, ideally with several years of experience in a management consultancy with a focus on pricing, marketing & sales
- Track record in pricing strategy development and implementation, as well as pricing performance monitoring
- Relevant experience in team management
Key Skills Requirements:
- Excellent conceptual and strategic competencies, ability to analyze and visualize large data sets
- Excellent, clear, and concise written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate and provide direction across functions
- Excellent skills in SAP, MS Office, ideally in PROS, Tableau
- Fluent in English and Japanese (Chinese and Thai will be a plus)
