Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Product Management Teams manage all aspects of a product, from driving new product development to manufacturing to marketing. They are responsible for overall product strategy, business leadership and capacity plans in order to meet sales and profit targets.  

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Product Innovation - Drive product development & evolution to build / maintain market leadership with:

• Proactive market trend analysis, architecture research, close customer communication to define target product.

• Prioritization with cross-function alignment & Lead to get resource needed.

• Competitor benchmark to understand product strength for GTM also improvement points for new product development.

2. Project execution - Platform product development and GTM execution:

• Coordinate internal team and resource to drive project launch and execution from front end GTM to back-end operation to drive product success.

• Closely work with sales and engineering to identify target customers, and set go to market strategy and support SPEC-in TE product.

• Lead the price strategy with sales team.

3. Margin Improvement - Manage product margin to achieve target level / keep at healthy level:

• Drive product cost reduction through close collaboration with operation / procurement / engineering team.

• Control Price erosion / price increase with sales & pricing team.

• Manage other related items such as product mix, Mfg source optimization.

4. Other supporting task - Support AP PM team for other tasks such as:

• KPI target setting & progress track

• Regional / Global best practice sharing

• Cross-country project coordination

What your background should look like:

Qualifications:

  1. 3+ years of product management or sales, engineering experience

(Engineer background is a great plus)

  1. 3+ years of automotive industry experience
  2. Strong communication skills in cross-function teams
  3. Pro-active and quick learner
  4. Presentation skills
  5. Excel/data analysis skills
  6. Fluent Japanese and English

(Chinese skills are highly welcome)
