Internal Communication Lead
Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Marketing Communications teams design, execute and report on internal and external communications and PR activities, engaging with customers, outside agencies and industry organizations. They define the messages and oversee the implementation of initiatives that engage key audiences using a variety of approaches, including internal communications, media, public relations and social media, developing ideas and stories to execute internal and external communications. They leverage a trend or storyline emerging from multiple inputs, e.g., team meetings, reports, social and traditional media, politics and current events, to elevate TE’s brand in the market and partner with marketing colleagues to ensure campaigns, lead generation and market-facing communications complement one another to drive marketing results and manages the relationship with TE’s public relations agency of record and assigned budget. The Communications team collaborates closely with various stakeholders from executive leadership team and Human Resources to a variety of product, sales and internal marketing partners.
<Overview:>
This role will drive the planning and execution of communication activities to support TE Japan business. This role needs to align the communication plans with the overall business goals & customer needs.
In partnership with AP/China Communications and cross functional team members, this role will be responsible for developing, deploying, and measuring the results of clear and compelling communication programs including internal and external communications, marketing, lead and demand generation programs,
<Responsibilities:>
Internal Communications
- Apart with Auto APAC internal communications team to drive internal communications to Japan employees to increase the awareness and understanding of Japan business, strategy, and values. Engage and energize employees toward the achievement of a business goal.
- Plan and execute internal communications plan based on the business priority. Develop and manage internal communications programs including Internal Comm Newsletter, myTE, Town Hall, Employee Video, Orange Day, Family Day, etc.
- Provide executive communications support, including message writing, GM Profile, talking points, town hall and meeting slides, etc.
- Partner with Japan leadership team, HR and other function leaders to implement the overall internal communications initiatives like EVC Communication, Quality Week, Safety Great Catch, etc.
What your background should look like:
<Skills Required:>
- BA/BS degree in marketing communications, journalism, public relations or related field, or the equivalent combination of education and experience 5+years marketing experience including a demonstrated ability to produce effective communications and campaigns.
- Strong ability to communicate the value of wide range of technical products in a complex, fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
- Passionate with marketing, dynamic, high energy team player.
- Mature, credible, patient, and hard- working.
- Excellent interpersonal, organization, leadership, and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently, able to multi-task and perform under pressure and willing to roll-up sleeves and do the work required to flawless execution.
- Experience in transportation industry is a plus.
- Flexibility to develop strong relationships with multiple departments in a large, matrix organization.
- Excellent Japanese and English language abilities.
