We are seeking a detail-oriented Technical Specialist I to join our team. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for creating and managing 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks, Creo, and AutoCAD. You will play a crucial part in maintaining accurate engineering data by managing part numbers and Bills of Materials within our ERP and PDM systems. This position also involves supporting Engineering and Operations by developing procedures and work instructions compliant with our QMS, and processing Engineering Change Notices. Familiarity with industry standards like ISO and ASME is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, create, and maintain accurate 3D solid models and detailed 2D engineering drawings for components and assemblies using SolidWorks, Creo, and AutoCAD software based on specifications provided by engineering staff.
- Manage the creation and assignment of part numbers and oversee the accurate release and maintenance of Bill of Materials (BOMs) within the company's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Product Data Management (PDM) systems.
- Support Engineering and Operations departments by drafting, reviewing, and revising new engineering procedures and work instructions, ensuring they align with and maintain compliance with the established Quality Management System (QMS).
- Initiate, process, and manage Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) to document and control changes to designs, drawings, procedures, BOMs, and other controlled documentation.
- Ensure all design and documentation activities adhere to company standards and best practices.
- Adhere strictly to all site Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) guidelines and requirements during all work activities.
What your background should look like:
Qualifications:
- 2 years of proven experience as a CAD Designer or similar role.
- Proficiency in 3D modeling and 2D drafting using SolidWorks or Creo is required.
- Experience with ERP and PDM software for managing part numbers and Bills of Materials.
- Strong understanding of drafting standards and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, particularly in writing technical documentation (procedures, work instructions).
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
- Working knowledge of applicable industry standards, such as ISO, API, ASTM, ASME, NACE, ANSI, etc., is a plus, but not required.
- Associate's degree or technical certification in drafting, design, or a related field is required.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
- This position will primarily be performed in a standard office environment using standard office equipment (computer, keyboard, mouse).
- While primarily desk-based, the role may require occasional lifting of objects up to 50 lbs.
- Mandatory adherence to all site HSE guidelines and requirements is required, especially when performing any tasks involving physical activity or moving outside the primary office area.

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $65,200 -- 97,700 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
