Job Overview

TE Connectivity is seeking a motivated Product Engineer I to support and enhance existing product lines within our Aerospace, Defense & Marine business. This role is responsible for sustaining engineering activities, driving value engineering initiatives, supporting customer applications, and developing innovative solutions to complex technical challenges. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams including mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing engineers to ensure product performance, cost competitiveness, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Sustaining Engineering support for existing product lines 
  • Improve existing product lines with Value Engineering initiatives to drive cost savings
  • Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment 
  • Interacts and/or negotiates effectively with external and/or internal customers at all levels 
  • Demonstrates expertise within a specific professional discipline by integrating theory and principles with organizational practices and precedents into work 
  • Develops solutions to complex problems which require high degree of ingenuity and innovation 
  • Adapts precedents and traditional approaches to develop solutions 
  • Assist in the quotation and proposal of responsible product lines into customer applications  

 

This position follows a standard 40-hour work week. Facility operating hours are 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with flexibility for employees to complete their 8-hour workday within those hours. The role is intended to be primarily onsite.

What your background should look like

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related engineering experience 
  • Able to deliver quality results without appreciable direction 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Ability to collaborate with a technical team consisting of electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing engineers 
  • Willingness to shift priorities as business pressures demand. 
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite. 
  • Proficient in 3D CAD/CAE software (SolidWorks Preferred)

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $70,000 – $105,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
