Job Overview

The Enginineering Change Coordinator supports Engineering and Operations in maintaining data integrity for new and existing products and designs across MOG. Part of Engineering Change management/Document control group responsible for managing the engineering change process. Facilitates creating and controlling release of new parts and bills of materials. Monitors and reports on part release processes to ensure timely availability to operations and supply chain. The role also interfaces to environmental and trade compliance for proper classification of materials. This role will be the gate keeper for part number creation and maintenance across the global MOG engineering team.

Responsibilities

  • ECO Process Champion: researching/writing/routing/executing/ and running review board meetings. Raise and populate ECOs with Engineering direction to adequately convey any drawing revisions and/or updates to manufacturing, supply chain, and finance, answering any queries and overseeing to ensure completion in a timely manner.
  • Work with manufacturing, supply chain and finance to ensure that material dispositions are documented, approved, and fully executed in a timely manner.
  • Capture, analyze, and publicize the cost impact of ECRs in implementation as well as ECRs under consideration. Involvement includes early stages of ECR development, coordinating with engineering, document control, finance, manufacturing, and supply chain to ensure complete and accurate cut-in of ECO.
  • Own day to day implementation of engineering changes, track and report financial impact.
  • Own the engineering documentation process.
  • New Product Documentation
    • Develop part number logic and descriptions
    • Establish new product codes if necessary
    • Create new bills of material

What your background should look like:

  • Bachelor or Associate degree in Quality/Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in QA/Engineering disciplines or Configuration/Change Management role in a production environment.
  • Experience using word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software is a must.
  • Experience in working on engineering modules in an ERP system.
  • PDM/PLM database experience is a must.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills/root-cause analysis.
