Ensuring and monitoring safety in the workplace including the application and communication of health, safety and hazardous material standards, procedures and practices consistent with established company, environmental and government regulations.
Job Requirements
- Implementing action plans for the organization’s EHS programs and taking a leadership role in delivering the organization’s EHS goals and strategy.
- Driving process improvements that result in EHS performance improvements; developing and sharing best practices.
- Ensuring TE safety initiatives required by the TEOA Safety Tool are deployed for the organization, including behavior based safety (BBS), ergonomics programs, risk assessment, EHS training, machine guarding and employee engagement; ensuring that program implementation is deployed in a methodical way, involving input from various stake holders, agreed upon time line for training and acquisition of the needed resources.
- Planning and delivering EHS training to create the competencies needed to deliver the EHS program; advising management on EHS matters and implementation of regulations and TE policies, programs and specifications.
What your background should look like
Generally requires Bachelors degree in appropriate field with a minimum of 8 years of experience; Masters degree or higher or local equivalent may be preferred at this level
