Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Quality Assurance Teams are responsible for all or part of an organization's Quality Management System, including conformance and continuous improvement initiatives. They work on systemic evaluation of products, services, facilities, manufacturing or business processes, to ensure that standards of quality are being met. Develop and implement quality plans, programs and procedures using quality control statistics, lean manufacturing concepts, and six-sigma tools and analyses. They reviews, analyze and report on quality discrepancies, investigate problems and executes quality audits, and develops disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies. The team works closely with manufacturing, engineering, customers, or suppliers and subcontractors to ensure requirements are met.


As Quality Manager, you will be responsible for;

  • Plant Quality Management for the Lickdale Manufacturing Plant
  • Support and enhance the quality management system requirements of AS9100. 
  • Use lean management and process management to build on the quality system at the two sites
  • Drive a culture of learning, continuous improvement and best practices to improve the effectiveness of the organization
  • Ensure the appropriate quality processes are in place and are effective to meet customer needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive improvements in quality performance to enhance the customer experience and to reduce the Cost of Poor Quality.
  • Drives continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the site quality system and product quality while ensuring compliance to governing regulations and corporate policies and procedures.
  • Define quality procedures in conjunction with R&D; setting up and maintaining controls and documentation procedures; monitoring performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports. 
  • Ensure appropriate leading KPIs are in place and are reacted to in a timely manner
  • Own leadership and guidance of site Quality teams on matters such as compliance and industry best practices
  • Lead the development of a strong customer-focused culture throughout the organization
  • Improve the decision-making model and problem-solving capabilities within high-performance teams to increase autonomy and the pace of change

What your background should look like:
  • BS/BA Degree in Quality, Engineering or similar field required, MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years’ work experience in continuous improvement or quality fields, ideally with leadership experience 
  • Demonstrated experience driving change using LEAN concepts Ensure there is a strong quality organization in place to support the business and deliver global and local objectives.
  • Working knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma experience required, SSGB or SSBB preferred
