Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Continuous Improvement Teams design and implement programs and projects to improve products, services, or processes aligned with business strategies. They coach teams; establish program performance metrics; and establish process excellence supports.

What your background should look like:

Responsibility  
•    Setup the framework to determine, measure and continuously monitor project resources, scope and objectives against the plan  
•    Improve First-Time-Right of projects and Speed-to-Ramp of New Product introduction  
•    Optimize project execution by: defining the problem, measuring the process by collecting data, analyzing the relevant data, optimizing the process and controlling the process output 
•    Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner 
•    Assess the resources, competence and capabilities needed for each project  
•    Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan 
•    Setup the framework to prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements 
•    Track project costs in order to meet budget 
•    Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress 
•    Guide and lead the team on the use of 6-sigma tools for troubleshooting, improving process yields and output, product quality and cost 
•    Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution 
Qualifications  
•    Bachelor's degree in mechanical or industrial engineering  
•    At least 5 years of project management and related experience 
•    Certified 6-Sigma Black Belt preferred, Green Belt required  
•    Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred 
•    Experience in using MS Project preferred 
•    Proven ability to solve problems creatively 
•    Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices 
•    Experience in delivering presentations to Top Management  
•    Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful 
•    Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline 
•    Organized, methodical and self-motivated individual with the ability to work under minimal supervision, on own initiative and meet own commitments is essential.  
•    Written and spoken fluency in English
