Job Overview

Supports the development and execution of commodity strategy for the procurement team and drives the leading indicators like savings pipeline.

Job Requirements

RESPONSABILITIES:

  • Supports Supplier Cost related Improvement Workshops in collaboration with Procurement Center Led.
  • Develop & implement strategy for assigned supplier portfolio in accordance with the commodity strategy for AMAS
  • Cost breakdown analysis.
  • Responsible for delivering annual business results (ex. Cost savings, supplier performance and compliance) for assigned commodities
  • Spend analysis, market insights and total cost of ownership
  • Creation of annual negotiation plan
  • Tracking and presentation of procurement KPI  
  • Managing sourcing projects, key initiatives, and supplier negotiations 
  • Category strategy development/ownership (specifically metals commodity)
  • Cooperate with a multidiscliplinary departments for sourcing implementation projects and validation all new suppliers.

 

What your background should look like

REQUIREMENTS:

  • BA/BS, +5 years of purchasing/sourcing experience.
  • Preferred experience in various procurement areas including vendor management, negotiation, etc.
  • Project management knowledge and background in handling multiple projects at same time.
  • Strong analytical & negotiation skills
  • Strong interest in learning the technicalities of the commodities
  • Develop strong business relationships with stakeholders and suppliers
  • Negotiating best possible deals in all scenarios
  • Knowledge of plant operations and management is a plus
  • Action-Oriented
  • Result-Oriented 
  • Advanced knowledge in the use of MS Office applications, i.e. Excel, Outlook, Word, and Power Point. 
  • SAP knowledge is a plus
  • Proficiency in Spanish and English communication is plus
  • Travel up to 25% of time
