Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Engineering Managers provide leadership for cross functional engineering teams. They work with senior management to define technical road maps aligned with market directions and communicate across other Business Units to share applicable technology. Our Engineering Managers leverage TE global technology to increase competitive position and increased value to our customers. They identify relevant technology trends and opportunities, develop relationships and partnerships with key customers, industry leaders and core suppliers, define and manage IP strategy, assess talent and implement development plans to assure succession planning and organization capability.

What your background should look like:

Functions-Responsabilities                    

  • Develop, motivate and guide personnel in charge to achieve individual annual targets and in line with site strategy
  • Ensure compliance with Safety standards with special focus on Ergonomic and risk elimination process
  • Promotes and coordinates activities to achieve savings objectives through improvement projects, with a special focus on cost reduction by optimizing production processes.
  • Validates processes through statistical methods to ensure their stability and repeatability.
  • Establishes the correct manufacturing cycle times and personnel required per station, as well as the necessary materials to ensure the efficiency and costing of the products, keeps the SAP database updated and with a robust analysis and authorization process to execute the necessary changes. (routings and BOM's 100% reliable).    
  • Timely completion of new product development or transfer projects in coordination with the organization's R&D, PM, and quality functions.
  • Ensure the correct payroll administration of his personnel.
  • Develop and  maintain scrap reduction programs and productivity costs (PDCA/GABis).
  • Participate in the development of succession plans and/or replacement of critical positions.
  • Facilitate compliance with the Training Plan of your personnel in charge.
  • Adopt and promote the preventive measures and Health and Safety procedures established by the Company to avoid accidents or illnesses.
  • Participate in the implementation and development of the Company's Management Systems, Certifications and Programs.
  • Perform any other activity required by your Supervisor or Manager.                    

Requirements                    

  • Education: BACHELOR DEGREE
  • Languages: ENGLISH & SPANISH    
  • Minimum Experience: 6-8 YEARS IN A SIMILAR POSITION
