Coordinates, develops, and implements the organization's EHS programs and procedures through departments/ large teams, and monitors EHS-related changes.
Job Requirements
- Monitoring of organizational EHS practices and production procedures, implementing revisions whenever needed to meet team/department goals.
- Overseeing training of employees on EHS issues involving facility, process and product changes and communicating the best practices.
- Participating in regulatory inspections, conducting assessments, and reporting to executive management on the same.
- Promoting industry safety innovations, assessing new technologies and practices, and participating in EHS audits.

Functions-Responsabilities:
- To assure that the companies operate under the several official regulations (state and Federal) related to occupational and environmental health.
- Verify the employees safety work conditions.
- Maintain the official regulation documentation up dating and available and identify available safety technology for the plant. Audit and coordination of the chemical warehouse controls.
- Coordination of Safety, Emergency and Hygiene Committee. Periodic inspection to work areas in order to verify safety conditions in the facilities.
- Follow up to the annual safety program and identified corrective actions. Provide materials recycling alternatives.
- Look up for chemicals materials that have not a potential impact in the employee’s health. Supplier´s evaluation related to services, safety, or environmental issues.
- To keep under control the documentation required for the company procedures. Annual environmental monitoring to: Noise, chemical and hazardous materials in the plant according to the official regulations.
- Auditing to the official books (registers) defined by the Official Labor Offices. Promoting and follow up to the plant safety programs and environmental control.
- Participation in internal auditing related to safety and hygiene to the facilities. Provide training related to Environmental, Health, Safety and Hygiene Control topics to all plant levels. Identify and implement of safety programs in order to reduce occupational risk in the plant.
- Establish the Environmental Health, Safety, and Hygiene Control goals for each individual of the team and follow up the accomplishment.
- Adopt and promote the preventive measures and Health and Safety procedures established by the company to avoid accidents or illness.
- Participate in the implementation and development of the Company's Management Systems, Certifications and Programs.
- Perform any other activity required by your Supervisor or Manager.
