Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Continuous Improvement Teams design and implement programs and projects to improve products, services, or processes aligned with business strategies. They coach teams; establish program performance metrics; and establish process excellence supports.

What your background should look like:


Responsibility  
Setup the framework to determine, measure and continuously monitor project resources, scope and objectives against the plan  
Improve First-Time-Right of projects and Speed-to-Ramp of New Product introduction  
Optimize project execution by: defining the problem, measuring the process by collecting data, analyzing the relevant data, optimizing the process and controlling the process output 
Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner 
Assess the resources, competence and capabilities needed for each project  
Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan 
Setup the framework to prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements 
Track project costs in order to meet budget 
Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress 
Guide and lead the team on the use of 6-sigma tools for troubleshooting, improving process yields and output, product quality and cost 
Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution 

Qualifications  
•    Bachelor's degree in mechanical or industrial engineering  
•    At least 5 years of project management and related experience 
•    Certified 6-Sigma Black Belt preferred, Green Belt required  
•    Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred 
•    Experience in using MS Project preferred 
•    Proven ability to solve problems creatively 
•    Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices 
•    Experience in delivering presentations to Top Management  
•    Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful 
•    Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline 
•    Organized, methodical and self-motivated individual with the ability to work under minimal supervision, on own initiative and meet own commitments is essential.  
•    Written and spoken fluency in English
