Job Overview

Creates plans, forecasts, and schedules relating to materials required and maintains proper inventory levels to meet operational requirements.

Job Requirements

  • Adjusting production schedules and collaborating with the production team to meet the target and on-time delivery to the customer.
  • Monitoring the product lifecycle, controlling the inventory, and arranging production schedules based on raw materials availability and assembly line capacity.
  • Assessing and communicating risks, tracking shipments from the suppliers, and coordinating with logistics, customs, and inspection to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Planning the raw materials and components requirements based on the sale order, new product sourcing, and supplier development across multiple product lines.

Key Responsibilities:

 

Master Production Scheduling (MPS) & Production Planning:


•    Develop, maintain, and adjust the Master Production Schedule (MPS) based on customer releases, forecasts (up to 13 weeks), and finished goods requirements.
•    Coordinate closely with Production, Engineering, and Quality to validate clear-to-build status before releasing production plans.
•    Balance capacity, labor, and material availability to meet customer delivery commitments.
•    Fine-tune daily and weekly production plans to address constraints, shortages, and priority changes.

 

Materials Planning & MRP Execution:


•    Execute and validate MRP results, ensuring accuracy of BOMs, routings, lead times, MOQ, standard packs, and transit times.
•    Generate Clear-to-Build (CTB/CTBS) reports based on raw material availability, inventory levels, and customer demand.
•    Monitor raw material coverage, DOH, and shortages, proactively identifying risks and implementing mitigation plans.
•    Escalate material constraints in advance to avoid production interruptions.
•    Lead daily communication with suppliers across Mexico, USA, Canada, China, and Europe, covering quantities, ETAs, delays, and recovery plans.

 

Education:


•    Bachelor’s Degree 
•    English proficiency: Advanced (85%)

Technical Skills:


•    SAP (MRP, MPS, Inventory, Purchasing, Logistics)
•    Microsoft Office (Advanced Excel, reporting and analysis)
•    MPS, Production planning, materials planning


Soft Skills:


•    Problem Solving: Proven capability to analyze complex supply chain issues, identify root causes, and implement sustainable solutions.
•    Communication: Effective communicator with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and customers across global regions.
•    Adaptability: Quick to adapt to new systems, technologies, and changing business conditions.

 

Systems & Reporting:


•    Work extensively with SAP (MRP, MPS, Inventory, Purchasing, Shipping modules).
•    Provide daily and weekly operational reports, including: 
•    Material coverage
•    Production readiness
•    Inventory health
•    Shipment status
•    Support EDI setups and data integrity for customer and supplier integration.
