Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Distribution & Logistics Teams manage the efficient flow of goods, services and information between point of origin through customer placement in order to meet customer requirements or internal business objectives. They create integrated processes among internal functions such as operations, purchasing and logistics, and outside suppliers. They also focus resources on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through various production processes, and establish key performance metrics and benchmarks relating to supply chain planning/forecasting to measure actual performance against goals on a regular basis.

- Education: PROFESSIONAL DEGREE
- Minimum Experience:  3 years in similar position  
- Languages: English 80%

- SAP system management
- Experience in inventory control (physical and system)

 

Functions-Responsabilities:

 

- Knowledge of traffic operations (transportation).
- Knowledge of warehouse operation.
- Creation of operational processes.
- Preparation and documentation of processes.
- Provide training.
- Project coordination and monitoring.
- Supervision of work groups.
- Operations supervision.
- Data analysis and reporting.
- Coordinate multi-functional teams to implement improvement projects.
- Benchmark best practices and implement at the regional sites.
- SAP implementation projects participation as SME (subject matter expert).
- Audit regional warehouse operations and report out to top management.
- Identify efficiency-improvement, cost-reduction, or service-delivery opportunities and develop or document logistics management processes to ensure maximum efficiency of product movement. 
- Develop or maintain cost estimates, forecasts, or cost models and analyze gaps against department goals.
- Evaluate the use of technologies to improve transportation efficiency.
- Prepare logistic strategies or conceptuais designs for production facilities.
- Determine requirements for compliance with certification standards (ISO 9000, 14000, 45000, 50000).
- MRP information systems (SAP) data maintenance.
- Develop specifications for equipment, tools, facility layouts, or material-handling systems.
- Determine feasibility of new facilities or modifying existing facilities, based on factors such as cost, available space, schedule, technical requirements, or ergonomics.
- Provide capacity planning analyses for distribution or transportation functions.
- Employee recognition programs, productivity metrics, succession readiness, cross training, capacity planning, self-audit systems, staffing needs.
- Environmental/energy efficiency audits for distribution or transportation and minimize the environmental impact of logistics activities.
- Create models or scenarios to predict the impact of changing circumstances, such as fuel costs, road pricing, energy taxes, or carbon emissions legislation.
- Adopt and promote the preventive measures and Health and Safety procedures established by the Company to avoid accidents or illnesses.
- Participate in the implementation and development of the Company's Management Systems, Certifications and Programs.
