Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Manufacturing Engineering Teams are responsible for working with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Product/R&D Engineering, Product Management and Finance to identify risks and execute plans to assure projects meet operational, technical, schedule, financial and customer targets and expectations, and are completed in time and within budget. Ensure that the project teams work in an efficient manner to meet project goals.


Scope of the projects in Juarez are mostly: New Product Introduction, Automation projects, Capacity investment, Layout modifications and Debottlenecking
 
Key Tasks: 

  • Setup the framework to determine, measure and continuously monitor project resources, scope and objectives against the plan 
  • Improve First-Time-Right of projects and Speed-to-Ramp of New Product introduction 
  • Optimize project execution by: defining the problem, measuring the process by collecting data, analyzing the relevant data, optimizing the process and controlling the process output 
  • Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner 
  • Assess the resources, competence and capabilities needed for each project 
  • Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan 
  • Setup the framework to prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements 
  • Track project costs to meet budget 
  • Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress 
  • Guide and lead the team on the use of 6-sigma tools for troubleshooting, improving process yields and output, product quality and cost 
  • Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution 
     

What your background should look like:

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering 
  • +5 years of project management and related experience 
  • Experience in using MS Project 
  • English
  • Hands on experience with current black belt projects: 
    • Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices 
    • Proven ability to solve problems creatively 
    • Experience in delivering presentations to Top Management 

 

Desirables:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
