Job Overview

The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring manufactured products meet established quality standards and customer requirements. This role performs incoming, in-process, and final inspections, supports nonconformance management, and works closely with production teams to identify and resolve quality issues. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and committed to maintaining high standards of quality and compliance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of products and materials.
  • Verify compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, work instructions, and quality standards.
  • Use measuring and inspection equipment, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision tools.
  • Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records.
  • Identify, segregate, and report nonconforming material.
  • Support containment, sorting, rework, and disposition activities as needed.
  • Review manufacturing paperwork for completeness, accuracy, and traceability.
  • Communicate quality concerns to production, engineering, and management teams.
  • Participate in root cause investigations and corrective action activities.
  • Support internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What your background should look like

 

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or quality inspection environment preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Experience using inspection and measurement equipment.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $38,700 – 58,100 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
