Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Data Protection Senior Analyst, to join the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) team working within TE’s Security & Risk Management (SRM) function. The SRM function is part of TE Information Solutions (TEIS) and has global enterprise-wide responsibility for information/data security, cybersecurity, technology risk and controls, IT compliance, and related areas across TE Connectivity.
The ideal candidate for the Data Security Senior Analyst role will have a strong technical background in data security and governance, with hands-on experience in implementing and managing data protection solutions. This individual will play a critical role in supporting the execution of TE’s enterprise-wide data protection program, focusing on monitoring, analysis, and remediation of data security risks. A key requirement for this role is expertise in Varonis for operationalizing data security and governance using the Varonis platform to reduce risk, enforce least privilege, and support regulatory requirements across on-prem and cloud environments.
Job Requirements
- Administer and optimize Varonis platform capabilities for data security monitoring, access control, and insider risk detection
- Perform regular reviews of file permissions, access patterns, and data usage by utilizing Varonis and various data security tools to identify anomalies and potential risks
- Support implementation and maintenance of data classification, labeling, and protection controls across on-premises and cloud environments
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to remediate identified risks and enforce data governance policies
- Assist in developing dashboards and reports for data protection metrics, including Varonis analytics and risk indicators
- Conduct periodic audits of sensitive data repositories and ensure compliance with TE’s global data protection policies
- Participate in risk assessments and control evaluations for data protection initiatives, with specific focus on safeguarding regulated data and ensuring compliance with relevant requirements
- Support the configuration, tuning, and monitoring of Data Loss Prevention (DLP) controls, spanning email, web, and endpoint channels, to detect and prevent unauthorized access, movement, or exfiltration of sensitive and regulated data
- Provide technical support for data protection tools and processes, including troubleshooting and configuration
- Maintain documentation for data protection controls, policies, and contribute to audit readiness efforts
- Support communication and awareness and training initiatives related to data protection
What your background should look like
- Hands-on experience with Varonis, for data security, insider risk management, and access governance
- Strong understanding of data protection principles, including classification, labeling, and data loss prevention
- Familiarity with data security technologies such as DLP, CASB, EUBA, encryption, and cloud security controls
- Knowledge of industry frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001) and their application to data protection
- Ability to analyze large datasets and identify patterns or anomalies related to data usage
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional engagement
- Experience building or maintaining dashboards and analytics in Power BI is a plus
- Scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, or similar) are a plus
- Knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, AWS, Databricks, NetApp and Windows file servers
- Bachelor’s degree in information security, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent work experience
- Security certifications (CISSP, CISM, or equivalent) are a plus
- Years of experience: 5–8 years in data protection or information security roles
- Understanding of product engineering environments (e.g., CAD, R&D, intellectual property protection).
- Experience working in regulated environments (e.g., ITAR, CMMC, SOX, GDPR)
- Familiarity with global privacy regulations and AI governance considerations

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $133,000 – $166,200 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
