Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Engineering Project Management Teams manage cross functional engineering projects. They work with Product Management, Sales, Quality, Manufacturing, Finance, and other functions across TE to assure projects meet financial, schedule and customer expectations. They are responsible for defining and creating project schedules, portfolio management, communication and execution of programs, identifying resource constraints and working with management for resolution, while adhering to LeanPD processes.

Roles and Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for defining / creating project schedules, communication plans and execution of projects, identifying resource constraints, risk mitigation and working with management for issue resolution.
  2. Overall responsibility for successful project execution leading a cross functional team to support capacity builds, process improvement projects, and production process launch for new product introduction (NPI).
  3. Identify and organize resources (i.e. a project team) for the project. Drive and lead project team (non-direct reports) by holding members accountable for deliverables
  4. Provide progress reports to global core team, update the TE Project system, escalate problems appropriately, and manage stakeholder expectations.
  5. Actively identify and manage risks associated with the project to ensure they are prevented or mitigated. Ensure that long-term liabilities are considered and managed.
  6. Manage the project expenditures to stay within budget and to ensure the cost performance metrics are met.
  7. Proactively own the business case and the P&L for the project. Ensure data accuracy of the P&L, including forecasts, by appropriately challenging stakeholders during initiation to closure of project.


  • Engineering degree
  • 4+ years of experience in project management in manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent English language skills
  • Working knowledge of SAP
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Strong knowledge of technical tools specific to Project Management (MS Project)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work with Global Team including US and China
  • Capability to drive multiple projects at the same time
  • Strong ability to set goals and motivate team members

Additional Preferences

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus
  • Experience in cable assembly industry is a plus
  • Experience in production process launch and qualification a plus
  • Track, monitor, and control project deliverables
  • Manage and motivate the project team
